Film sound tracks, classical music and so goes on an impressive list. So he played jazz but he also composed for others includingPaul Anka and Andrea Bocelli. He even had a UK number 2 with Chi Mai.

As of 2013 he had amassed a staggering 70 million worldwide record sales and has, of course, won many, many awards. He has lived in Italy all his life. He married Maria Travia in the 1950s and she wrote lyrics to some of his songs. They have 4 children some of whom have followed in his footsteps.
