Alexandre is a successful film composer, having been nominated for an Oscar 4 times, and has worked on some major films such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2, The Queen and The King's Speech.

He was born to a Greek Mother and a French Father who met in America. They encouraged him musically and he took up the piano at just 5 years of age.

He is a prolific composer, especially for French films, having contributed to over 100 projects. He has received many awards including a Golden Globe in 2007 for Best Original Score for The Painted Veil. He also received a BAFTA in 2011 for The King's Speech.
